Studio
agca·studio is an architecture studio run by Selen Baş Ağca and Kutbeddin Ağca in Üsküdar, Istanbul.
We think of architecture less as the building itself and more as the space it encloses: the places where people gather, produce and remember. From the scale of a house to a public building, every project starts with the same question: what will this space give to the city?
We design in Revit, within a single, consistent building information model. Plans, sections, quantities and visualisations are produced from the same model, from concept to construction documents, so every decision is carried through the whole set of drawings at once.
In urban regeneration projects we start by reading the existing fabric and take the process from massing and density studies through to schematic design and construction documents, all under one roof. We treat visualisation and virtual tours as tools for experiencing and explaining a design before it is built.
To see how this works in practice, look through our projects, and our news for competitions and publications.

Selen Baş Ağca
Founding Partner · Architect
Treats urban regeneration as a matter of the city, not only of construction. A graduate of the architecture programme at Yıldız Technical University, she has worked on urban regeneration and permit projects for more than ten years, and is experienced in steering the process between contractor and owner. Her postgraduate term project on the effects of construction projects on gentrification keeps the social impact of building at the centre of her work. In competitions she leads the studio’s reading of the city and the shaping of the programme.

Works where construction meets technology. A graduate of the architecture programme at Yıldız Technical University, he has developed and led projects at different scales for close to ten years. An expert in BIM-standard project production and Revit modelling, he treats architectural presentation, virtual tours and visualisation as the language in which a design is explained. He is pursuing a master’s degree on large language models in the construction industry. Competitions are where he tests the limits of his expertise: he takes on the whole presentation, from concept to board.
